TRANSPORT TO THE ISLAND
Pulau Perhentian is reached by speedboat from the jetty at Kuala
Besut, Terrengganu.Journey time from Kuala Besut Jetty to "Long
Beach" takes approximately 25-30mins.
Local Participants
Local participants should make their way to Bubu Kuala Besut office.
International Participants
International participants should make arrangements to fly to Kuala
Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and from KLIA to Kota Bharu
airport where transport can be arranged to Kuala Besut. The flight
time is approximately 45 minutes.
By Air
From Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia Airlines System (MAS) and Air Asia provide daily flight
service from KLIA to two of the nearest airport, KOTA BHARU and
KUALA TERENGGANU airport.
KOTA BHARU airport is the recommended stop as the journey from there
to Kuala Besut jetty is shorter. (45 Minutes)
From KUALA TERENGGANU airport, the journey to Kuala Besut jetty
is about 90 minutes.
From Singapore
Connecting flight is available via Singapore to KLIA then Kota Bharu
or traveling from Singapore to Senai airport, Johor Bharu with either
MAS or AIR ASIA to KLIA.
MAS airline provide SPS coach from Singapore to Senai 05:15am to
18:15pm daily.
